HISTORY

Faculty of Medicine of Gadjah Mada University is a historical milestone since the independence of Indonesia. The department itself founded in 1946, three years prior the university itself was established. Health Policy and Management Postgraduate is proudly being a part of the first medical school with most complete programs and facilities in the country.

Health Policy and Management Postgraduate is a part of the prominent Faculty of Medicine University of Gadjah Mada — the faculty itself officially founded in 1949.

Each of Health Policy and Management Postgraduate programs established in different years. Hospital Management is the oldest, their first batch was taught in 1992, followed by Health Policy and Service Management in 1995.

The increasing of awareness in health finance security became the reason Health Insurance Studies program were started in 2000. While answering the rapid growth of information system development need in health field, the faculty initiated Health Information System program in 2005.

Health Policy and Management Postgraduate had spread its international impact with more than 3000 alumni.
