Dwi Handono Sulistyo was born in Yogyakarta on May 5, 1962. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine UNPAD (1987), then continued his Master education in Health Service Management, Faculty of Medicine UGM (graduated in 2000), and S3 at the Faculty of Medicine UGM (graduated 2013).
Early career began at the Bantal Health Center and the Lubuk Pinang Health Center, North Bengkulu Regency (1988-1991). Then he became the Head of KLKM (Public Health Training Course) and Bapelkes (Health Training Center) Bengkulu (1992-1998). In 1999-2006 he became Head of Bapelkes Yogyakarta. Starting in 2017, he continued his doctoral education.
Since 2006, he has been a guest lecturer / non-permanent lecturer at KMPK FK-KMK UGM to date. In addition, he is also active as a consultant and researcher at PKMK FK-KMK UGM. In 2013, after graduating from a doctoral degree, he applied for early retirement as a civil servant.
In Master education, teaching in the Health Policy and Management Course; Strategic Management and Financial Sustainability; as well as HR and Leadership. In the scope of research and consulting, the focus is in accordance with the courses being taught. In addition, since 2017 he has been focusing on the issue of integrating maternal health and rights-based family planning.
