Dr. Yodi Mahendradhata is currently the Vice Dean for Research and Development, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing, Universitas Gadjah Mada. He is a medical doctor by training and he obtained a Master degree in International Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Charite Medical Faculty, Humboldt University, Berlin, Germany. Dr Mahendradhata completed his Doctorate in Medical Science at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Antwerp, Belgium and Ghent University, Belgium. He is currently leading the South East Asia Regional Training Center for Health Research supported by WHO-TDR. He has led developments of national strategy for implementation research, national strategy for tuberculosis control and country proposals to the Global fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. His research interests are in the fields of global health, implementation science, disease control, health policy and health program management. Dr Mahendradhata was an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation visiting scholar at the Institute of Public Health, Heidelberg University, Germany. He has authored and co-authored numerous peer reviewed articles published in reputable international journals. He has been awarded the Scopus Young Scientist Award by the United Nations University, Elsevier and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
